Happy Homeowners

About 10 years ago, our friends Steve and Carol Smith from Shawnee, KS, invited us to stay with them at their home at Lake of the Ozarks.  After that visit, my wife and I decided we wanted a second home on or near a lake and we started searching for the right location.  For five years we visited about a dozen different locales across the country.  We visited Big Bear CA a number of times; Lake Havasu, AZ; Austin, TX; Okoboji, IA; Lake Shafer and Freeman Lake, IN; Lake Minnetonka, MN; Rocky Point, Mexico; and others.  We also came back to the Lake of the Ozarks three times during this five year period. 

We narrowed the decision to Big Bear, CA and Lake of the Ozarks.  We made our decision to come to the Lake of the Ozarks for many reasons, not the least of which is the 37+ drive up restaurant/bars on the lake.  Once we started looking in earnest at the Lake of the Ozarks we discovered Tan-Tar-A.  We have now been hear 5 years and every year we make more friends and find more reasons that support our decision.  We like the gated community, the amenities of the Resort, the golf courses, and of course access to the lake.  We also appreciate the close proximity of the shopping and health care facilities.

We believe this is the right place for us and expect to spend many years here at Lake of the Ozarks and Tan-Tar-A.
